The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (IGD) in Germany and the University of Aveiro in Portugal are organizing during the World Exposition EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany, a one-day workshop on Telemedicine entitled:

Telemedicine: Present and Future
on September 29, 2000.

After confering with the EXPO management, we are happy to announce a -- -- entrance for the Workshop! Only the entrance in the EXPO site has to be payed by you

The workshop is organized under the auspices of the Portuguese Ministry of Science and Technology and will take place within the Portuguese Pavilion at the grounds of the EXPO 2000.

World known authorities from China, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, Portugal, Spain, etc., will be sharing with an international audience their experience and work in the fascinating field of Telemedicine. Main themes are the present and the future of Telemedicine worldwide, according to the international spirit of the EXPO 2000 in bringing together innovation in technology and care for human kind in a new arising world.

Telemedicine from the points of view of the professional practitioner and the citizen user will be addressed, as well as challenging current and future issues such as market potential and legal issues, new technological trends, etc. Live demonstrations of currently operating telemedicine systems and devices will be also given.
